The Men’s soccer team had a conclusion to their season on Saturday, (October 29th) at UMass Boston. The Panthers fell to UMB 4-1. Aly El Tombouly notched in the lone goal for the Panthers in the 38th minute. PSU ended the season with a 4-13 record and 2-5 in the LEC. The Panthers bid farewell to solid careers of John Hanna, Alex Martins, Dre Cabral, Tak Umetsu, and KC Haywood. The team looks poised to be strong next year, and although the record doesn’t necessarily show it, they fought hard every game.
The Lady Panthers hosted an LEC tournament playoff game last Wednesday against Western Connecticut State due to power issues in Danbury, Connecticut from last week’s wild storm. PSU is the sixth seed in the tournament and look to move onto the semifinals. The team looks to pull some upsets and take the title for the first time since 1999. Senior Angelina Labroad was named LEC goalkeeper of the week after a very impressive game against UMass Boston, as she recorded 19 saves and a shutout in the 0-0 draw.
