Green in Your Glass
St. Patrick's Day is coming around the corner, landing at the start of PSU's spring break. March 17 is a day where it doesn't matter where people are from, as long as they have a drink in their hand, they'll look Irish enough. This being said, celebrate this year like a beer drinking, cabbage loving, step-dancing, red-headed Irish lad or lass with these great drink options.
Drinks to consider:
1. Guinness: This beer is a stout, meaning it is dark in color with a rich taste. This drink varies in quality from country to country and no one serves better than the Irish.
2. Irish Coffee: For the coffee lover, this is simply coffee and Irish Whiskey served with crème. This is a great hot drink especially if in South Boston for the parade, it's cold out there.
3. Irish Car Bomb: This is a combination of Guinness, Irish Cream, and Irish Whiskey. The cream and whiskey are combined in a shot glass and dropped into a glass of Guinness. The object is to drop the shot glass in and chug the drink as fast as you can!
4. Green Beer: During the St. Patrick's Day season, many bars serve Green Beer, which is simply a beer of your choice and green food dye. This is just to be festive!
5. Lucky Leprechaun: This is for the fruity drink lovers out there! If the drinker enjoys Bay Breezes they'll like this one! It's made up of Melon Liqueur, Coconut Liqueur, and pineapple juice, shaken with a lime. This drink will make the drinker feel as lucky as the Irish.
Be sure to enjoy responsibly and legally!
