Facts of September attack brought to light

Research by: Abby Ashey, Brooke Thorton, Sam Kenney PLYMOUTH - Nearly two months ago a Plymouth State senior was brutally attacked leaving Campus Police and Plymouth Police to unravel the event, which only became more tightly tangled. Amid claims that the victim knew one or more of her attackers, last week that student was fined in Plymouth District Court and, in a separate University proceeding, suspended from the University.

PLYMOUTH - This year students at Plymouth State University who have not yet selected a major will no longer be known as students who are undecided. The name has changed to deciding. This may not seem like much of a change, but this change has more weight to it than just the semantics.

The Common Man Apprentice is a Tasty Success

PLMOUTH- The Common Man Apprentice project will be entering it's final phase from November 14 to November 30 as the student created and marketed desserts make rounds at five Common Man restaurants. The dessert with the highest sales will be the winner and the team will receive $500.

PSU Reaches Settlement with EPA

PRESS RELEASE PLYMOUTH, N.H.-Plymouth State University has signed a Consent Agreement and Final Order with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), settling the administrative complaint issued by the EPA in February 2005. As a result, PSU will pay a $25,993 civil penalty and complete a supplemental environmental project (SEP).

Tasers in schools sparks controversy

The makers of Taser estimate that 1,700 police officers carried their product in the last year. However, controversy has swirled around the use of these non-lethal devices in middle and high schools around the country. On October 20 of last year, Miami-Dade county police officers used a Taser to subdue a six-year-old Pharr Elementary School student.

Sony Software Snafu

JAPAN - Music lovers beware. CDs released by Japan's Sony BMG have been found to contain copy protection software that may allow viruses to hide within a user's PC. Senior contributing editor for Windows and co-author of Windows Internals, Mark Russinovich, discovered this software on October 31 and revealed the information on his web log that day.
