The Common Man opens its doors to Plymouth State University

The Common Man family of restaurants offers an amazing opportunity to the Organizational Behavior class here at Plymouth State University. They hold a contest where students taking the course design their own sample desert. Entitled "The Common Man Apprentice Project," students were challenged to create a dessert recipe for the five Common Man "homes" throughout New Hampshire.

University of Limerick

Kelsey Rees and Meredith Park are both Plymouth State University first years. They are going through the same things that all college students go through to adjust to the college life, with one little thing on top of that. They are studying in Ireland at the University of Limerick in Limerick City, located on the western coast of Ireland, just four hours away from Dublin.

After New Hampshire's mid-term elections on Tuesday, November 7, Democrats found themselves in an unfamiliar position. For the first time in decades, they held not only the gubernatorial seat, but a 14-10 majority in the senate. As a result, Senator Sylvia Larsen of Concord, New Hampshire was elected the Senate president in an undisputed majority caucus of state Democratic senators.

Saddam Hussein convicted of 148 murders

Saddam Hussein, the former dictator of Iraq, has been convicted in the 1982 killings of 148 residents of Dujail, Iraq. He has been sentenced to hang, but due to Iraqi law, an appellate court will, in approximately a month, to begin proceedings to review the case.

In Milan, Italy, an Egyptian man tried in connection with the 2004 terrorist bombing of a train in Madrid was convicted on international terrorist charges. According to an article on CNN.com, the 35-year old Rabei Osman Sayed Ahmed received a 10-year sentence for his role in the killing of 191 civilians.
