when Plymouth State field hockey team has keeps rolling with a current 5-2 record. Led by Captains Eileen Crutchfield (Boscawan, New Hampshire) and Kaitlyn Wilder (Framingham, Massachusetts), the girls have played exceptional field hockey to have a 3-0 advantage in conference play. Nicole Burgess (Mexico, Maine) still leads the team in goals with eight, while Alivia Bates (Pennsauken, New Jersey) has played amazing in goal with 44 saves and a .800 save percentage.

The fifth game of the season saw the ladies travel to Framingham, MA to battle against the Rams of Framingham State. Burges would put up the lone tally in the first half off of an assist from Tyler Pelletier (Westport, MA). In the 66th minute Rosalie Edmonds (Goffstown, NH) netted her second goal on the season off of an assist from Lily Davis (Boscawen, NH). The shutout unfortunately would not stay intact as Framingham would net their lone goal in the 69th minute. Despite the effort Plymouth would hold on for the 2-1 victory.

Game Six for the Panthers was a home non-conference matchup against Thomas College. The game was a shootout from the beginning with Thomas getting a goal in the very first minute of play. Nicole Burgess would net goals number 6 and 7 in the 5th and 7th minute; the 5th minute goal being assisted by Davis, which brought the score to 2-1 Plymouth. Thomas College would take over the second half though and would score two goals in the 51st minute and 52nd minute to take the 3-2 lead which would be the final as the Panthers fell just short of defeating the Terriers.

Bridgewater State came to town for the third conference game for the Panthers. Burgess would net her eighth goal on the season in the 2nd minute, and Kaitlyn Wilder would come off of her early injury and score her first goal on the season in the 5th minute. Davis would score her third of the season in the second half off of a nice dish from Katie Martin (Waterbury Ctr., VT). Plymouth would hold on to win 3-0.

The Panthers are showing they are going to be a strong force to be reckoned with this season in the Little East Conference. They look to continue strong as the season unfolds.
