That’s a Wrap: A Look Back at Winterim Sports

Men’s Wrestling:
January 7th: Placed sixth at Scott Vera Invitational. Sophomore Joe Aumann (Hopatcong N.J.) won three of his matches. Senior Chris Perreault ( St. Johnsbury V.T) and Junior Cody Carrillo (Middletown C.T) worked hard for second place finishes.
January 14th: Finished fourth in Jim Aguiar Invitational. Senior Chris Perreault ( St. Johnsbury V.T) won his 184 lb. weight class while Junior Cody Carrillo (Middletown C.T) won his 197 lb. weight class. Two sophomore competitors, Joe Aumann (Hopatcong N.J.) and Matt Froio (Cohasset M.A) also won in their weight class.
January 22nd: Placed twelfth at New England Duals where Sophomore Joe Aumann (Hopatcong N.J.) and freshman Tom Pagliarulo (Haverhill M.A) exceled to three wins each.
February 4th: Competed at Springfield Quad. Senior Chris Perreault ( St. Johnsbury V.T) won two of his three matches.
Men’s and Women’s Skiing:
January 20th: Plymouth ski team makes a good showing at the Saint Lawrence Carnival. Women's skiing place 10th out of at 13 teams while the men’s placed 11th out of 13th.
January 21st: Final day of the Saint Lawrence; Plymouth men’s ski team overall 5th out of 13 teams while women finished 3rd out of 13 teams.
January 27th: Competed in UNH Carnival in Millersville. Two student athletes post in the top ten; Fresh- man Karl Kuus (Toronto, Ont) and and sophomore Freydis Einarsdottir (Gardabaer, Iceland).
January 28th: Men’s team placed 6th out of 13 teams while women finished 5th out of 13 teams at the UNH Carnival.
February 3rd: Plymouth competed at the UVM Carnival, where on the first day men’s skiing placed 6th out of 13 teams and woman’s placed 7th out of 13 teams.
February 4th: On the second day of the UVM Carnival men’s skiing posted 12th place out of 13, freshman Logan Martin ( Edwards, Colo) posted his best finish of the season. Women’s skiing placed 9th out of 13 teams.
Men’s and Women’s Track and Field:
January 21st: Women’s track and field placed 4th out of 6th at the Panther Invitational, men’s track and field placed second in Panther Invitational.
January 28th: Men’s team competes at Annual Tufts Stampede. Three athletes qualified for New England’s D3 Qualifying Standards; sophomores Sam Brunnette (Newport, Vt.), Warren Bartlett (Loudon, N.H.) and freshman Eric Rosario (Methuen, Mass.). Women’s sophomores Rileigh Goulette (Saint Albans, Vt.) and Nora Robichaud (Hampstead, N.H.) and freshman Eve Bagley (Holliston, Mass.) placed well in standings.
February 4th: Plymouth traveled to Dartmouth. Sophomores Sam Brunnette (Newport, Vt.) and Warren Bartlett (Loudon, N.H.) and freshman Eric Rosario (Methuen, Mass.) qualify for New England’s.
