Plymouth State University alumnus, Thomas Daniel Perkins, was found dead near a wooded area in Rumney, NH, on Thursday September 22. The cause of death is still under investigation.

Perkins's parents called the authorities when he did not return home on Monday night. New Hampshire Fish and Game assisted in the search Tuesday afternoon, ending the search at 9p.m. that evening, for safety reasons. The search resumed at 9a.m. the following morning.

Perkins was known by many as an experienced climber and very familiar with the Rumney area.

His father, Dr. Dan Perkins, is a professor in PSU's Music, Theater & Dance Department, and his mother, Jill Perkins, is a teacher at Plymouth Elementary School.

Our thoughts and prayers go out the Perkins' family and friends.
