Plymouth State Student Arrested in Mexico for Jumping off Booze Cruise

On March 18, PSC junior Bill Braski was arrested in Cancun, Mexico for jumping off the tourist attraction “The Booze Cruise.” Witnesses who were on the cruise with Braski stated that his behavior started out fine but steadily went down hill throughout the course of the night. “Bill was a little drunk when we got on the boat, but it wasn’t until he started doing tequila shots that things got bad,” said PSC junior, Pete Powel who was on the trip with Braski, “We tried to get him to slow down, but he just wouldn’t.” Witnesses said that Braski’s behavior became noticeable to security when on the ride back to shore he began to throw chairs. He stopped when he was asked to, but immediately grabbed a fire hose and started swinging it between his legs while yelling obscenities to a group of women on the ship. “It was humiliating,” said Powel. “We tried to pretend we didn’t know him but we couldn’t because he kept yelling for us to come help him.” When security came to speak to Braski a second time he ran screaming to the side of the boat and jumped off.

“The funny thing was that at the beginning of the cruise they read off a list of rules and one of them was to not jump off the boat,” said Amy Johnson, a UNH student who was on the boat. “We all laughed because we couldn’t imagine who would actually do that.” Police retrieved Braski from the water and he was immediately arrested and taken into custody. Fortunately for him, he was let off with a one hundred and fifty dollar fine. When questioned about the incident Braski replied, “I don’t remember anything, but I can’t wait to get back the pictures!”
