The Clock received an official press release Wednesday afternoon stating that a Plymouth State College employee is under investigation for alleged theft by embezzlement. At the time of the press release, director of Public Relations, Michelle Hutchins, was unable to give any substantial information concerning the case, but explained, “A employee is on administrative leave because of the embezzlement of funds and the campus police are continuing their investigation.” The press release also states that Vice President for Finance, Bill Crangle, “has been briefed and is working with his financial staff and Campus Police to review appropriate records.” The Laconia Citizen published the same press release Saturday, December 7.
