PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Tenney Mountain Ski & Snowboard Resort is proud to announce it’s re-opening yesterday, December 12, 2002. Grand opening celebration will be held Saturday December 14
Snowmagic Entertainment, USA, Inc. is the new owner of Tenney Mountain. This innovative company brings very exciting new technologies and concepts to the ski industry, and has the capability to move Tenney Mountain forward with a solid business environment and future plan.
Tenney Mountain has the best value in the White Mountains. Weekend lift ticket rates for adults will be $37, Teen available for $27 and Junior (ages 6-12) lift tickets will be available for $21. Prices will be reduced for lift tickets purchased during the week, and for half-days. Children 5 and under, and seniors 70 and over will ski for free.
An increase in snowmaking, a new terrain park, and an expanded beginner’s area are in the works to improve skier and snowboarder experience this season. Plans for the following year include an ICS (Independent Climate System) snowmaking system that will guarantee an early opening date for the 2003/2004 season.
“I’ve had the privilege of skiing all around the world at resorts big and small, and I am always drawn back to those smaller resorts that offer an authentic winter experience,” states Dan Egan, extreme skier and new General Manager at Tenney, “Tenney Mountain is one of those resorts.”
Several skiers and snowboarders went to the mountain yesterday to take part in the opening day, and many plan to attend tomorrow for the opening ceremonies.
