Dear Editor:
As a graduate of PSC I was elated to here that Doug McLane has received due justice. I rented from McLane for one year, and I can count several times when he would just walk into our apartment. Of course he would knock first as expected…but only once…and not loudly…and only waited 2 seconds before barging in. There was more than one instance when this occurred while I or a roommate were showering.
This behavior is appalling. I can only hope that the monopoly that McLane and other local landlords have over student rentals can be monitored more closely after this event. I know as student I wasn’t aware, or even ready, to take the actions I should have against the several invasions of privacy I experienced while living in McLanes apartment.
Please keep those landlords in check and remember that you deserve to live in your home and have privacy as you wish!
