I will not lie and say that Dustin Siggins isn’t one of the most worthless writers I have ever had the misfortune to read. Neither will I say that it doesn’t sadden me to see some of the answers to the Speak Out section. Nor will I say that I enjoy seeing an article on how our rugby team beat a difficult team taken out to allow more room for the stupidity of the riots. What I am proud of, and feel the need to congratulate The Clock on, is their openness. Rather than being objective, you print both sides of the story. Do I like Bush? No. Does most of the intelligent world like him? No. But instead of ignoring his supporters, you present their arguments and concerns. Although this might not sway me to their side, it promotes understanding. Understanding and agreeing are two different things, after all.So, even though I have had my fair share of gripes with The Clock, I admire and salute your willingness to allow all, (even those whom belittle you) to speak their minds. You, in my opinion, embody Voltaire’s quote, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Thank you and, as always, play rugby,Krystina (Liv) Hajduczek
