First Annual Student Leaders Honored

PLYMOUTH – As twenty students sat in the Bradford Room of Centre Lodge a common question rang true, “Why are we here?”

Tuesday, October 18th, Joe Long, Director of Alumni Relations and members of the Alumni Association, Althea Goundrey, Nancy Aldrich, Sally Kilfoyle, Retha Fielding, Jessica Morel, and Hans Wentrup greeted and chatted with the First annual group of student leaders over dinner and dessert.

The students include: Jodi Angus, Abby Ashey, Tiffany Britton, Ryan Campbell, Katy Cohn, Bethen Conner, Melissa Fales, Alan Fioravanti, Jeremy Foskitt, Noelle Fraser, Jenn Goetsch, Sonya Grabauskas, Mark Jacob, Benjamin Kane, Krystal Kebler, Nathaniel Lord, Andrew McLean, Jessica Morrell, Karen Munz, Meghan Pierce, Angela Potvin, Vicki Robinson, Laura Scala, Danielle Solak, Amanda Spadafora, Christopher Trapp, and Ashley White.

“You are the campus leaders of today, but you jus don’t know it.” Stated Long as he welcomed everyone. “I am always amazed at the great works and leadership skills exhibited by Plymouth State students. You constantly give of yourself by giving back to other students.”

Faculty and staff on campus nominated each student. There were over 140 nominations, which then got narrowed down to twenty.

The Alumni Association is host to numerous on-campus events including Welcome Back Bagels and Dinner with 12 Strangers. It’s a way of getting alumni more involved and helping current students get adjusted and prepared for college life.

Congratulations to the 2005 Student Leaders.
