During the month of October, the Admission Office and the Student Affairs Office sponsored the PSU Diversity Window located in the HUB.
The Window’s theme of “Faces from Around the World” included close up portraits of several minority and international students attending PSU for the Fall Semester, 2005, and it attracted a lot of interest from the campus at large.
In conjunction with the Window, the student body was invited to test its international flag recognition skills by identifying each of the flags of the twenty-nine countries currently represented at PSU. Many students submitted ballots in special boxes located in the HUB and at the Prospect check-in desk. So it would coincide with United Nations Day, the drawing to announce the three winners was held on October 24th in the Fireplace Lounge.
Each of the following students had perfect scores and was awarded a gift certificate for the interest he/she demonstrated by participating in the contest.
Jenny Larochelle won a Wal-Mart gift card, Jessie Grande a Hannaford gift card, and Ryan Schruender a Tanger Outled card.
