PRESS RELEASEWalter Blanding, the show-stopping tenor saxophonist who performed with Wynton Marsalis at the Silver Center just a few weeks ago, will perform with his own quartet this Thursday night, November 10 at 8 p.m. in Smith Recital Hall.
Blanding will be joined by pianist Aaron Goldberg who is also in the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Finishing the quartet is bassist Greg Williams who has toured with Elvin Jones ,and drummer Quincy Davis who has performed with Paquito D’Rivera and Roy Hargrove. Tickets are $14 for PSU faculty and staff and are available by calling the box office at ARTS. This concert is sponsored by the PSU Student Senate Concert Committee.
