The Lamson Learning Commons is not only a place to check out books and grab a sandwich, it also provides students with the perfect atmosphere for studying.
The Lamson Learning Commons held their grand opening in September where the, “Lamson Library united with Information Technology Services to create Lamson Learning Commons, a cutting edge, integrated learning center offering state-of-the-art technology research opportunities and academic resources to students, faculty and staff,” said David Beronä, the library director. It features services from the Information Desk, the multi-media presentation center, the reference desk, special collections and archives, document delivery (interlibrary loan,) the PASS office, the Writing and Reading Center, computer cluster and The Commons Café.
“The academic library today is more than stacks of books and a quiet place to study. The library serves our faculty and students best by offering access and instruction to information resources,” explained Beronä.
