Former U.N. weapons inspector comes to PSU

On Wednesday, March 7, former U.N. Chief Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter will be coming to Plymouth State University to discuss relations between the United States and Iran and the current rising tensions.

Ritter was a U.N. Inspector from 1991-1998 in Iraq where his job was to search for weapons of mass destruction and he participated in over forty inspections. His talk at PSU will focus on what appears to be plans by the Bush administration to attack Iran, a topic he fully discusses in his most recent book, Target Iran: The Truth About the White House’s Plans for Regime Change.

Besides speaking at PSU, Ritter will speak to N.H. legislators on March 6 in Concord at the Common Man Restaurant, as well as in Keene and Durham. Ritter will also be on New Hampshire Public Radio’s program “The Exchange” as a guest of Laura Knoy on March 7, at 9 A.M.

Ritter’s PSU talk is sponsored by Common Ground, Model U.N., Society for Scholarly Dialogue and the Steering Committee for a Culture of Peace.
