Astronautalis – “Two Years Before the Mast” – Astronautalis is currently my favorite musician. His style is so varied that it cannot be described. Check him out.

Gavin Castleton – “Home,” the entire album – one song cannot be selected (although if I had to pick it would be “Stampete”) as it is an opera and each song is important to the story. Great album for drives because you can sit back and listen to this love story based in a zombie apocalypse.

Blackalicious – “Make You Feel that Way”– This song is about a bunch of things that give you a really good feeling and the listener cannot help but be happy by the end of the song.

Why? – “Fatalist Palmistry”– Why? mixes abstract lyrics with folk and rap styles resulting in truly unique music.

Buck 65 – “Wicked and Weird”– Fun rap song about aimlessly driving in a beat up old car. Buck 65 has a great rapping voice.

cLOUDDEAD – “Velvet Ant”- Dose-One’s strange voice and bizarre lyrics mixed with  a unique beat makes this song a winner in my book.

Tea Leaf Green – “If It Wasn’t For The Money”- This song reminds me of relaxing summer days by a lake just enjoying life.

Queen – “Don’t Stop Me Now”– Ultimate party song! Makes me want to dance!

Michael Franti & Spearhead –  “Rock the Nation”– an emotionally charged political rap can evoke strong feelings

Hilltop Hoods – “The Nosebleed Section”– Australian hip-hop! Their accent when rapping sounds funny at first but then grows on you. Super fun song.
