Graduation Checklist

On May 18th Plymouth State University seniors will be congratulated for their four years of hard work.

But, before students become members of PSU’s alumni community, they have certain obligations they must complete.

Students who plan to walk at graduation need to attend Graduates Day on Friday Match 8th, from 9 AM and 3 PM in the HUB. Caps, gowns, and inclement weather tickets will be distributed. If undergraduates cannot attend Graduates Day they can pick up their caps, gowns, and inclement weather tickets March 18th at the PSU bookstore.

Besides getting the right outfit and tickets, there are a few other loose ends:

First, seniors must have filled out a degree request form before March 1st to participate in the May ceremonies.

Second, students need to check myPlymouth for hold on their bill. These holds can be anything from overdue library books, finical obligations, parking tickets, residence hall fees, infirmary charges, or lost athletic equipment fees. Payments can be cleared with the Bursar’s office, located in Speare Administrative building in room 108.

Third, undergraduates who received Federal Stafford Loans, Graduate Stafford Loans, or Federal Perkins Loans need to have all requirements fulfilled with the Finical Aid Office. Federal Stafford Loans recipients must do an online exit interview before graduation. Seniors who received a Graduate Stafford Loan must do an online exit interview before graduation. Graduate Stafford Loan receivers should go to the “Mapping Your Future” website and select the Stafford exit link.  Students who were granted a Perkins Loan must attend an exit interview and counseling session during graduation.

Seniors should make hotel and dining reservations for their family and friends ahead of time. Hotels and restaurants in the Plymouth Area have been known to be booked quickly.
