P.A.C.E, the University’s programming board, is in search of students to fill positions for next semester’s calendar of activities. Activities from this past year included Walk the Moon, a haunted house, speed dating, the famous sex bingo, and plenty of open mic nights and other concerts.
Programming Activities in a College Environment (P.A.C.E) is a large student run, organization that plans the majority of the events that students regularly enjoy on campus. With new members and fresh ideas, the organization brought an abundance of different activities to the students. P.A.C.E is saying goodbye to a handful of seniors and members that are studying abroad so this upcoming semester is sure to bring changes, as well as a new executive board.
P.A.C.E worked on a list of goals and agreed they wanted to work more with other groups on campus. The chair will work directly with other organizations to plan and market their events. Organizations can look forward to expert help from VP of PR, Monique DesRoches, and her chair members Melissa Cody and Ben Denard in planning and marketing events to make them a success.
“I always said that this year was a transition year for PACE”. Ex-VP of Entertainment, Christi Jensen, said. This year will be all about growth from PACE since most of the members are underclassmen. “I was welcomed in so quickly with PACE, and now I’m a VP! That’s crazy to me and I’m so excited,” said VP of Marketing, Nick Einstman.
President, Jesse Anser commented, “Motivated students who follow through with big ideas are the best type for PACE. All are welcome and we will help you become more of an innovator than ever before. We love taking in new students because the more people we have the more ideas we can have flowing through the organization.”
P.A.C.E will teach you how to do cool things and it looks great on a resume. “I joined P.A.C.E after helping with the Barefoot Truth show in the fall and loved what we were doing so I decided to officially join,” said Mainstage Chair, Megan Kelly. “If someone were to apply I’d want them to be excited about PACE and the events! We have high expectations for what is coming next year.” VP of Entertainment, said Ben Ward. Interested applicants can apply on OrgSync.com or contact Jesse Anser at Jdanser@plymouth.edu
