
Plymouth N.H.- The Lady Panthers were unable to continue their winning streak, losing their last two games. Plymouth hosted non-conference opponent Gordon College who have an impressive 13-2 record, and fought hard, but couldn’t produce enough offense, leading to their fifth one-goal loss of the season. The score read Gordon 2 to Plymouth’s 1.
Plymouth then hosted UMass Dartmouth and looked to get back on track, but once again struggled producing any offense losing 4-1.
It was looking good in the early goings for the Lady Panthers against Gordon College. The Panthers scored in the first ten minutes of the game on a penalty shot from Junior Emily Bell (Derry,NH); this was the result of a hand ball from a Gordon College defender. Just six minutes later Gordon College answered when Senior Kendra Woudenberg sent a cross pass to senior Taylor Mcsherry who was then was able to tap it in.
The Fighting Scots were able to score the game winner in the 64th minute from a Woudenberg pass, where sophomore Jamie Breton put it home taking a 2-1 lead.
Plymouth pressured Gordon College but was unable to score resulting in their eighth loss of the season.
Plymouth then took on UMass Dartmouth but was unable to stop Junior Shelby Friedland who scored a pair of goals which lead Dartmouth to a 4-1 victory
Plymouth only managed 4 shots in the game with only 3 on goal; UMass managed 22 shots 15 which were on goal. The only goal came from Senior Carol Messier (Durham, N.H.) which was her first of the season.
Plymouth will host Caselton and UMass Boston this next week in hopes to get back on track.
