Week 15 Fantasy Football Playoff Pickups (Waiver-Wire)

Quarterbacks:

Ryan Tannehill vs NE: He can run and pass, and over the last month he’s been a number seven overall quarterback in fantasy. Take it how you want it but Tannehill has been surprising all fantasy owners as a strong QB2. If you are in need for a quarterback in the playoffs look for Tannehill. With over 3,000 passing yards and 20 touchdowns, the young Dolphins quarterback should fare well against a week Patriots defense.

Josh McCown @ Cle: Cleveland’s defense has only let up 300 plus passing yards once this season, and that was last week to Tom Brady. With that being said, McCown has been balling out hard lately as the Chicago Bears fight to win the division. With 13 touchdowns and one interception, McCown should still strive for greatness against the dirty Browns. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are all you need to make you want to start this fantasy option.

Running Back:

Joique Bell vs Bal: What a surprise he has been this year. Between him and Reggie Bush, it’s almost a guaranteed 10 plus points. If he is still available in your league pick him up, no more should be said. If Bush cannot play next week, Bell should be a start in any league that is in need for a strong RB.

LeGarrette Blount @ Mia:Most football fans expect to see Steven Ridley take over for Blount at some time during the season, but it looks like it won’t happen this upcoming week in Miami. Blount has been rushing the ball just fine and even though the Pats aired it out last week against Cleveland, still look for them to rely on the rushing game in short situations. If you are in desperate need of a running back pickup, look for Blount.

Wide Reciever:

Julian Edelman @ Mia: Having the season of his life and has proved to be one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets. He also played 82 of 82 offensive snaps in their game against Cleveland scoring a touchdown when the Pats needed him most. With 775 receiving yards, five touchdowns and amazing return ability, number 11 should be used in any desperate situation.

Kendall Wright vs Ari: Tyrann Mathieu is now out for the season in Arizona, so look for Wright to have a nice game against a defense looking for depth. He is on the verge of eclipsing the 1,000 receiving yards mark, so look for him to be hungry on the catch and run. The young Tennessee wideout is a bang or bust choice for your week 15 playoffs.

Tight End:

Dennis Pitta @ Det: Personally I don’t trust guys who just came back from a long injury, but for those of us who lost Gronk for the season now might have to just give Pitta a shot. In his first game back on the field he took off right where he left off, as one of Flacco’s top targets. Look for him to go strong next week against Detroit, as Baltimore looks to solidify a playoff spot.

Kicker:

Adam Vinateri vs Hou: The Colt will be looking to crush Houston after playing lousy as of late. They look to build up some momentum before the playoffs, so look for them to be gunning. Vinatieri is great when kicking in a dome and Indy is playing at home this weak so this pick up is almost a no brainer. Pick up Mr. Clutch to help kick you through the playoffs.
