The Plymouth State Women’s Basketball team traveled to Eastern Connecticut State University for a Little East Conference game. The Panthers unfortunately came up short against the Warriors, losing 76-42.
Plymouth played strong the first six minutes of the game. At 14:00, the score was tied, 8-8, when Eastern Connecticut went on a 14-0 run and never looked back. Despite their efforts, the Panthers could not come back from the deficit.
Senior guard Krystin Corliss (Loudon, N.H.) was the only Panther to reach double digits, notching 11 points. First-year Madison Beatrice (Newton, MA) contributed eight points in the effort, while Kait Deering (Sidney, ME) and DeAsia Lawrence (Middletown, CT) recorded seven points each. Other Plymouth standouts were Savannah Miller (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Tiffany Lewis (Hillsboro, N.H.) who ripped down three rebounds each.
The Lady Panthers will be back in action on Sat. Feb. 8, when they travel down to in-conference Western Connecticut looking to improve their 2-16 record (1-8 LEC).
