It’s time for another edition of PSU Spring Power Rankings! Your Plymouth Sate Panthers have been tearing it up these past couple weeks and impressively they’ve done it all on the road. Hopefully after this upcoming week of 60 degree temps we will have home baseball and softball games by next weekend. Lacrosse is guaranteed to start their home slate at the turf field in New Hampton. Without further ado here are your team rankings:
1.Men’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: 1) – Men’s Lacrosse keeps their spot on the top after winning three more games and pushing their record to 7-1 (2-0 in conference.) The Panthers scored a total of 84 goals an impressive number, especially after playing all games on the road.
2.Women’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: 2) – Women’s Lacrosse has been playing great on the road, losing only a close one to Castleton. Led by a strong offensive attack, they are currently 7-3 with a 1-0 record in conference. They look to keep rolling with their home slate of games on the horizon.
3. Baseball (Last Issue: 3) – The Panther squad hit a rough patch after coming back from Florida winning only one game against Babson. They are currently 5-11 (0-4 in conference.) The bright side for the Panthers is that they are competitive in all the games they play, they just need to find that little extra to come out on top. Hopefully, some home cooking can add that spark.
4. Softball (Last Issue: 4) – The Softball team unfortunately hasn’t had too many games since last issue. Two games at Fitchburg state were postponed due to rain. However, the one game they did play was a victory against UMass Dartmouth. The win brought their overall record to 1-10 and 1-0 in conference play, and much like the baseball team, it will be interesting to see what they can do with some home games under their belt.
