It was Senior Night for the Plymouth State Women’s Hockey squad as they hosted The Franklin Pierce Ravens at home. Unfortunately for the Panthers, the forward duo of Michelle Holmes and Karsyn Baker each register a 3 point night for Franklin Pierce pushing them past the Panthers, 5-1.
Throughout the first two and a half periods, the Panthers were able to hold the Ravens at one. Holmes then netted two goals and added an apple while Baker tallied a goal with two helpers. Junior goalie Noelle White (Corona, Calif.) made 21 saves as the Ravens improve to 14-6-1 overall and 8-6-0 in the NEHC.
Plymouth State’s lone goal was tallied by senior Marisa Zamrock (Lewiston, Maine) on Senior Night. On the board with three minutes to go in the second, Zamrock put home a rebound after a shot by junior Lauren Connely (Braintree, Mass.) was turned away.
Plymouth State ends the regular season on the road next weekend with conference games at the University of Southern Maine Friday and Nichols College on Saturday. Franklin Pierce returns to play its final three regular season games on home ice, beginning Saturday vs. Manhattanville College. The Panthers fell to 8-15-0 overall and 4-11-0 in conference play.
