1. Women's Lacrosse (Last Issue: 1) – The women’s lacrosse team won their home opener against UMass Dartmouth, moving their record to 6-2 The ladies have produced some stellar stats this season: 92 goals, 36 assists, 11.5 goals per game, 93 draw controls and 69 caused turnovers.
2. Baseball (Last Issue: 2) – The baseball team sits firmly at .500 with a 9-9 record. They had a monster offensive game, scoring 26 runs at Daniel Webster. Led by a strong offensive output (167 hits, 43 doubles, seven triples, eight homeruns and 94 RBI’s) they look to be a huge threat in the LEC this season.
3. Softball (Last Issue: 3) – The softball squad currently holds a 7-9 record and is looking forward to conference play. They’re seeing the ball exceptionally well, batting .269 as a team and picking up 54 RBI’s along the way.
4. Men’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: 4) – Men’s lacrosse is 2-5 after playing tough teams to start. They picked up a huge conference win against Umass Dartmouth on the road and look to pick things up mid-season to make a run towards the title.
Individual Athletes
1. Sophomore Megan Tingley (Natick, MA) Women’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: 2) – Tingley is the Panthers leading scorer with 33 points (13 goals and 20 assists.) She also has 29 draw control wins this season.
2. Junior Jarek Krajewski (Cranston, RI) Baseball (Last Issue: 1) – Krajewski still has an average over .500 (.523) with 65 at bats this season. His 10 doubles and 34 hits lead the Panthers and his 19 RBI’s are a tie for the most with teammate James Riley-Garnett.
3. Junior James Riley- Garnett (Newport, RI) Baseball (Last Issue: UR) Garnett is another Rhode Island native who has been a force in the Panther lineup. 19 RBI’s and four homeruns lead the Panthers this season.
4. Sophomore Sam Sullivan (Canton, MA) Women’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: UR) – This was a hard pick between Sullivan and Vonachen. Both are exceptional players but Sullivan’s five goal, one assist game against UMass Dartmouth gives her the edge this week.
5. Sophomore Allison Moylan (Methuen, MA) Softball (Last Issue: UR) – Moylan has been a quiet force for the Panthers. She has an amazing .429 average and picked up three RBI’s in the double header against Salem State.
