Gore, guns and active reloads. The marvelous Gears of war trilogy is on its way to a fourth game. In this game you now take the roll of JD Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix, who you assumed the role as in the other three Gears.
In the new series, it seems that the Locust army is no more and you are now in a fight against the swarm. The enemy ranges from many different types of creatures. Some that can run and rip you to pieces, other monsters, tall and large, who wield a weapon of mass destruction. Suiting up to be possibly the only surviving humans left on earth, you play part of a young squad of Gears that progress their way into the depths of the decimated earth, seeking safety and any lone survivors still in one piece.
However, the game offers more than just a campaign. For the players who can’t stand a storyline and want to jump right into the action at all times, they have the blood driven Versus mode online. Online play is now cross-compatible, which means PC and console players can play together. This will be one of the first games in history to combine both console and PC players in one server.
If you enjoy teamwork and seeing body parts scatter, you will definitely enjoy the multiplayer. If taking on players online isn’t your strong suit, you can team up with four other players and take on the horrifying Horde mode 3.0. This mode is something that has been in the game since Gears 2. This mode allows you to pick a multiplayer map and create a base as you take on 50 waves of enemies ranging from robots to swarm creatures. There are different classes with a multitude of combinations for weapon load outs. If you like a hardcore game mode, this is for you.
The game has spectacular graphics, along with gruesome gameplay. Chainsaws, rocket launchers, and even a bow that shoots explosive bolts. The style of the game is very original and has a huge learning curve for newcomers. If you haven’t played a single GOW (Gears of War) beforehand, you might want to practice. Gears of War 4 has a variety of playability. The game comes out on October 11, of this year and if you’re looking for a game with bloody messes and guns galore this is the game for you. It is now time for you to pre-order the game because you get some nifty items along with owning the game for Xbox One and PC.
