The PSU men’s cross country team showed up in force to the Keene Invitational at KeeneState. SophomoreSamBrunnette (Newport, V.T.) took home an individual title for the Panthers, and lead them to finish fourth out of eight competing schools. Brunnette finished first out of 78 runners with a time of (25:42) in the five-mile run.
The Plymouth State women’s cross country team placed third out of seven teams in the invitational. Freshman Molly Ingram (Wolfeboro, N.H.) placed 10th in the five mile run out of 73 runners. She finished with a time of (20:10). The next race for the women’s and men’s cross country team is the James Earley Invitational and Westfield State on October 8th. Women’s race starts at 11am, men’s race starts at noon.
The Panther’s tennis team emerged victorious over Salem State, wining four of five singles. Sophomores Kelley Corson (Exeter, N.H.) and Lily O’Connor (Salem, N.H.) won doubles. Senior Rachel Gustafson (Belchertown, Mass), Freshman Alex Dunn (Jaffrey, N.H.), and Megan Wheeler (Manchester, N.H.) also contributed to the 5-3 victory. The tennis team is set to play Saint Anselm on Friday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m.
