#Throwback to 10 Years Ago This Week in A&E – Week of October 22, 2017

Music:

During the week of October 22, 2007, the single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” by Soulja Boy still had the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.

Movies:

During this week ten years ago, the music-laden film “August Rush” (starring Freddie Highmore and Robin Williams) and crime thriller “Reservation Road” (starring Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo) were popular new releases.

Video Games:

During this week in 2007, “The Sims: Castaway” added another hit to the franchise, and legions of video game/music fans traded their cash for copies of “Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock,” after being won over by the first two games of the series.

Books:

“Playing for Pizza,” John Grisham’s sports novel that strayed from his usual genre of law drama, was still #1 on “The New York Times” best seller list. It would stay there until October 28.
