Regardless, PSU powered through and came together when Lex Bowers (Port St. Lucie FL) hit a kill and after a domino effect of errors from the opposing team, they came to shorten their lead to 17-15Western Conn came out once again with a big lead, but we once again dug ourselves out of the wholebringing the score to 24-23. A kill from the opposing team ended the first set and put PSU down 0-1.

The second set had an identical start; Western Conn grabbing a 7-1 lead. They stretched the lead out to 10 points at one point, but PSU rallied back. Alisha Flanagan (Milton NH) and Bowers started a riot and after Jill Tiner (Salem NH) hit a kill, Western Conn was shaken and started to make some errors. Giving PSU the hole they needed to see some light and bring the score to 23-18. Even with the late rally, they couldn’t hold them off, suffering another lost set.

The third set went like the second and made PSU take a timeout to refocus. They came alive after that, being down by seven before the TO and then getting it to 13-11. PSU was able to get down to one point behind, but the momentum was lost after that as they lost their third and final set to Western Conn.

There was an early tie at five but freshman Maria Wimpey (Concord NH) was feeling the energy and served six straight points for the Panthers. Francie Shaffer (Frederick CO) contributed with a pair of kills to put away the first set for a 25-14 win. Annie Heller (Hudson NH) helped Plymouth grab an early lead and after that it was all a memory as PSU walked with an easy 25-9 win; giving them the 2-0 advantage.
