Women’s Lacrosse Recieves Honors

This season the PSC Women’s Lacrosse Team has been no stranger to receiving awards. In the middle of the season senior, Robin Hartman broke the school record that has been held by Terry Galley since 1985 for most points. Galley, who at the end of her career tallied up 180 points, was taken out of her top spot by Hartman who at the end of her regular season had 150 goals and 67 assists for 217 points.

Hartman was also one of the five Panthers to be selected to the All LEC First Team. Also making the team, at attack sophomores, Katie Sheridan and Michelle Norton. Seniors, Megan Wolfley, Sacha Jackson, and junior Julie Shields made the team for defense. Senior Brooke Smith and sophomore Cathy Berei made the LEC Second Team.

Plymouth also swept the conference’s top awards by naming Katie Sheridan as the LEC Offensive Player of the Year, Sacha Jackson as the LEC Defensive Player of the Year, and freshman goalie Melissa Gravilla received Rookie of the Year.

” I feel honored to receive the award, and I think I had a good season,” stated Sheridan. “I think I’m a smarter player than last season. I’m over the freshman jitters.”

Second year Head Coach Wynne Lobel wrapped up the conference awards by receiving the nod from her peers and was named the LEC Coach of the Year.
