Women’s Soccer Looks to Get Back On Track

Plymouth,NH-The Panther’s offense was scorching hot Wednesday against their non-conference opponent Fisher College, as they had a winning score of 6-0.The red hot offense was short lived, as the Panthers couldn’t continue their success against Bridgewater State, on Saturday, September 14th, losing 2-1.

The Panthers traveled to Hormel Stadium in Medford, Massachusetts where they took on Fisher College in the non-conference contest. Plymouth’s offense wasted no time, and scored four goals in the first 10 minutes, with two by Shannon Snively(Fremont,N.H.). Plymouth took a four goal lead, and kept it until the second half where they scored two goals to shut out Fisher College.The Panthers out-shot Fisher College 32-2 and looked to continue their success against Bridgewater State.

PSU was on the road once again, taking on Bridgewater State and it turned out to be a tough loss for the Panthers. PSU held strong for the whole contest but wasn’t able to pull out the victory, The Panthers were out-shot in the first half 14-1, with the score still all knotted-up at 0. The start of the second half Mackenzie Hatfield of Bridgewater State scored first giving the Bears a early 1-0 lead. The Panthers would get a goal back on a header by a Bridgewater defender. In the 59th minute Emily Lane of Bridgewater scored what would end up being the game winner.

The Panthers weren’t able to continue their offensive success and were out shot by Bridgewater 25-4.
