Anti-war protest buses leaving from local areas

Dear The Clock Editor:

New Hampshire will have three full buses, organized by NH Peace Action, going to the anti-war march in Washington, Sept. 24. At least two anti-war events will take place in New Hampshire that day to coincide with the Washington march, for those who can’t get to D.C. but want to help make the pro-peace voice huge.

NORTHWOOD 11 am. Peace rally in Northwood at the corner of Routes 4 & 202. For more information, contact Lucy (Lcedwards@metrocast.net)

NASHUA – noon: Nashua Peace Rally – End the War: Bring the Troops Home. City Hall, Nashua. Nashua Peace asks you to bring a sign with a positive message (e.g. FOR peace, rather than AGAINST any particular person). For more information, go to www.nashuapeace.org.

It’s a good time, now, to give the politicians a sampling of our feelings about the misbegotten Iraq war. The 2006 mid-term elections are coming up. If you feel strongly about the drain on our resources caused by war, and the loss of lives, both sides, or the futility of war’s violence, please participate in D.C. or in N.H. on Saturday the 24th.

Sincerely, Lynn Rudmin Chong
