Getting Lost in A-maze-ment this Fall

The leaves are changing, the temps are falling, and night just keeps getting longer and longer. The votes are in, and Fall is coming to an end.

Winter is coming. You can hear it encroach every time you step outside to the crunching sound of another leaf falling desperately to the ground. So that means, it’s time to cram in as many fall festivities as humanly possible before Plymouth turns into the North Pole.

Why not stick with the classics?

This Sunday Oct. 21, 2012, the Class of 2013 will be hosting an event at Moulton Farms. A bus, leaving at 3:00 from in front of the HUB, will offer free transportation to and from the Farms. While there, students will have the opportunity to explore the corn maze, catch a hay ride, and explore the rest of the farm. This is event is free to all seniors and only $5 for everyone else.

If you can’t go on the trip, pick another clear day to head down to Moulton Farms in Meredith, NH. Only a twenty minute drive from Plymouth, Moulton Farms offers a variety of activities to satisfy your fall cravings starting with their main attraction, a fully functioning and immensely towering corn maze.

Each year, the corn maze is created with a different theme and design, only to be revealed from a bird’s eye view. According to their website, “The 2012 Corn Maze year has a three dimensional tractor design with a labyrinth feel including lots of dead ends, repeats, and overlapping paths.”

Get lost for hours in the twists, turns, zigs, and zags of Moulton Farms. Hidden deep in the maze lies answers to trivia sheets available when you purchase your pass for the day. After discovering all of the answers (and finding your way to the exit), turn your trivia sheet in for a delicious prize and a chance to win an even bigger prize.

With $5 adult passes and $3 children passes, this facility provides an inexpensive activity that people of all ages can enjoy. In addition to the corn maze, Moulton Farms offers an array of other activities including tractor rides, a petting area for the farm animals, pumpkin bowling, and a bounce house. Before you leave, don’t forget to check out the indoor store and farm stand to stock up on your all your fresh farm needs.
