Friends of the Arts Regional Arts Council’s exciting new event The Holidays at Eastbourne Place is quickly approaching! This will be the show house of the 2005 holiday season! Tour this large Victorian home decorated for the holidays by professionals and featuring original furnishings and spectacular views overlooking beautiful Newfound Lake. This event offers a rare opportunity for the public to view the beautiful house and grounds of Camp Pasquaney – all steeped well in history. Following your tour, start your holiday shopping at the Friends’ Workshed Shop, the place to browse and purchase unique and original gifts as well as getting tickets for our terrific raffle items! All proceeds will benefit Friends of the Arts Regional Arts Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing visual and performing arts to the communities and schools of central New Hampshire. On a cold winter day the upstairs library of the Eastbourne House is a warm and cozy place of reflection and peace during the frantic Holiday Season as exhibited by Suzanne Lee of chi-lin (chi-lin Gallery, 17 Lake Street, Meredith). We welcome you to a very special lakeside retreat in the bedroom decorated by Vintage Diversions. You might call it Country, or French, or even Bohemian. Whatever you call it, you’ll agree it is exactly what a bedroom should be, warm and inviting (Vintage Diversions, Meredith). The warmness of the glowing fireplace and the view of Newfound Lake was the inspiration for decorator Jodie Favorite. You will quickly relax upon entering this corner guest bedroom (Jodie Favorite, Bristol). Join us behind the scene in “The Workshop”, where the team at Renaissance Florals will be designing a Christmas Wedding taking place here at Eastbourne. The workroom is the perfect place for getting the job done! The house also features other rooms decorated by such professionals as Earthly Treasures, Mountain Laurel, C. Beston & Company, Elaine Crandall & Karen Stetson, The Laughing Loon, Mesa International, Mary Bohn, Innisfree & Country Carriage, Dressers Unlimited and The Unlimited Man, Pauline E. Glidden Toy Museum, and Yikes Gallery. Located on Route 3A (Mayhew Turnpike) in Hebron, NH, Eastbourne Place at Camp Pasquaney is the perfect location for an autumn tour with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains from both the grounds and the house. The apple tree-lined main driveway provides easy access to Eastbourne Place, with a drop off area in front of the house and ample parking in the fields above. Friends of the Arts will sponsor a gala opening night party on Thursday, November 3. This event will feature the artists and decorators who have elegantly decorated the house for the holidays. Reservations to this exclusive party are $50 per person and include heavy appetizers, light cocktails, historical story telling and a tour of the house that evening!
