In an unprecedented return to the North Country, Playboy will be visiting PSC for a very special Girls of Plymouth State photo shoot Sunday, May 5, 2002. PSC women are encouraged to tryout for the historic spread. Playboy photographers will be present to accept applications, and conduct interviews at 10:00 a.m. in the Tower Room of the HUB. Approved applicants will receive a giant, oversized check for an undisclosed amount.
The spread will appear in the September 2003 issue of Playboy.
This is not the first time Playboy has featured the beauties of the PSC campus. In the October 1987’s Women of the Top Party Schools, Plymouth student Denise Cummings was featured among many other spectacular college cuties.
Not only will the photography crew visit the campus, but Playboy creator and male icon Hugh Hefner is rumored to make a guest appearance. “I’m honored to have such a prolific figure of fine journalism visit our picturesque campus,” exclaimed Willie Mae Kit, head of the Playboy Promotional Taskforce.
A local forum was held over the spring break to discus the ethical impact of the much-anticipated event. Anyone who would have disapproved was uninvited. The meeting adjourned with a unanimous vote. “I can’t wait for this $#@!,” stated Felix Masterson, local bunny enthusiast.
Jennifer Doomie has her application ready and waiting. “I’m going to be first in line. I really think I can get the part, and all my guy friends are rooting me on. It’s kind of exciting. I could really go places after this—you know?”
Although unavailable for comment, President Wharton thinks, “It’s a great idea.”
