International Week, as declared by Govenor Lynch, begun today on campus at 11:30 with the Parade of Nations.
Jane Barry delivered a brief introduction speech in the HUB, advocating for the respect of all people, and how we are truly all global citizens. Following this the parade snaked through campus with over 20 bright flags juxtaposing the dismal gray rain. The flag bearers waved their colors proudly, displaying how many cultures are brought together here at PSU.
The parade ended at the new Center of Global Engagement, where the day transitioned into an open house, with an Iron Chef cook off to highlight various cultures food.
