Vandals Apprehended by Plymouth State Police

At one o’clock a.m. on September 6th, two students were taken into custody for the spray paint vandalism in front of the Hub committed that night. A call was sent in at approximately 1:12 a.m. to University Police that two people were seen leaving the scene of a suspected vandalism near the Hub. Derogatory comments were found spray painted in green and black on a granite bench and the brick walkway in front of the Hub.According to a police report, the two suspects, Tarah Wilkinson and Alexander Cormier, were seen walking up Highland Street near the Plymouth Fire Department when stopped by University Police. Wilkinson was reported to have spray paint on her fingers and the sound of clanging metal could be heard coming from her backpack. Upon further investigation by Officer Trott of University Police, it was found that Wilkinson also had possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. After admitting to the vandalism Wilkinson was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and possession of a controlled narcotic. Cormier was arrested and charged with criminal mischief on September 12, but as of press time no arraignment was set.Wilkinson is scheduled for arraignment on October 4th at the Plymouth District Court.
