On Saturday, October 2, fourteen people were arrested during the raid of Phi Beta Upsilon, an unrecognized fraternity at 8 Weeks St. A majority of the arrests were Plymouth State University students and underage drinkers. When the police raided the apartment building, which was leased by members of the unrecognized organization, they found over 100 people in attendance, many under the age of twenty-one. Among the arrests are Jessica Hills, 19, James Elmo, 19, Jasun Stearns, 20, Robert Stewart, 19, Joseph Boudreau, 19, Brandon Adams, 19, Joshua Boucher, 20, Dallas Carey, 21- all Plymouth State University students, were charged for unlawful possession of alcohol. Erik Golkowski, 19, and Jon St. Pierre, 19, also PSU students were charged with facilitating an underage party. Witnesses report that the raid was planned well in advance. Witnesses stated that there were many cruisers from different New Hampshire law enforcement agencies waiting in front of the apartment building. Arraignment for the fourteen people will be held at Plymouth District Court on November 8.According to Police officials, there were only a total of twenty-eight Homecoming related arrests. This number is smaller than in the past two Homecomings at PSU.
