Volleyball Grinds Out Win Against Emmanuel

P lymouth’s Volleyball team hung on to win against Emmanuel College Tuesday night. The Panthers won the first 2 sets, 25-20 and 25-16, only to lose the next 2 making it 2-2 going into the 5th and final set. Emmanuel had Plymouth on the ropes when they came roaring back to win sets 3 and 4, 25-21 and 25-18. The 5th set saw Plymouth commit only 2 attack errors and hit .333%. Emmanuel was held to .000% for the final set, while Plymouth cliched the set 15-6 to give them the 3-2 win.
The Panthers were helped out tremendously by senior setter Megan Bailey (Canterbury, N.H.) who had a game high 46 assists and nine digs. Junior Ari Linden (Lena, Ill.) led the entire match with 13 kills. Linden added 6 blocks as well while hitting at .318%.
Plymouth improves to 6-4 on the year and plays their next match at UMass Dartmouth, Saturday the 16th, where they will face off against UMass Dartmouth at 12pm and Curry at 2pm
