Amemorial for Justin Sault was held this past Tuesday in Heritage Commons, on the campus of Plymouth State University. Many members of the Plymouth State community joined in celebrating the life of a friend, who was considered by many to be a brother.
Early Saturday Jan. 28, police were notified of a person falling into the Pemigewasset River. Police responded to the scene to find that a person had fallen off of the Dicenzo Bridge. The victim was identified as Justin Sault, 20. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police determined that Sault’s death was an accident.
Flags were flown at half-mast on Feb. 7, and in accordance with Plymouth State University tradition, a wreath was placed at Memorial Rock. The bell in the clock tower was rung at 1 p.m. to symbolize the healing of time, and in celebration of a special life.
During the memorial, remarks were made by Pamela Anneser, Sault’s professor, and Taylor McKenzie, a close friend. Mark Fischler, the dean of first-year experience at PSU, gave the eulogy.
“Ever since I was little Justin taught me to be a better person,” said Joe Cavadini, a close friend to Justin. “He’s the type of person that could walk into a room full of ten strangers and walk out with ten friends.”
Sault was an avid snowboarder, a talented graphic design artist, photographer, and videographer. He was a dedicated student. He was a in his junior year at Plymouth State, and a native from Keene, NH.
