1.Softball (Last Issue: UR) The Plymouth State Softball team finished their Florida trip 6-5 after they split a double header last week against Middlebury and Luther College. In game one vs Middlebury, Caitlyn Miller (Lee, NH) silenced the opponents by leaving them with only five hits and a walk. Game two saw the team hitless until the fifth inning thanks to a Kayla Mathieu (Fairfax VT) single but it wasn’t enough as Luther took a 3-0 shutout win.

2.Baseball (Last Issue: UR) The PSU baseball team also enjoyed a successful spring break in Fort Meyers, Florida going 6-4. During the last game of the series against #13 ranked John Hopkins University, Sophomore Matt DeCina (Hopkinton, MA) attempted to start a rally in 

the ninth inning with an RBI Single but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated 5-4.

3.Men’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: UR) Three goals in four minutes helped the men’s team to a fourth quarter rally as they defeated Norwich University 11-8. Nicco Sorrentino (Chelmsford, MA.) was the leading scorer of the game with three goals to help bring the teams record to 3-3.

4.Women’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: UR) The Women’s Lacrosse team is still searching for its first victory of the 2017 season after a 15-6 defeat by SUNY Oneonta last week. Junior Sam Sullivan (Canton, MA) scored three goals during the game but it wasn’t enough as Oneonta had a nine point second half and scored four straight goals.

Individual Athletes
1.
Senior Nicco Sorrentino (Chelmsford, MA) Men’s Lacrosse: The Offensive Player of the week registered five points in two games for PSU with four goals and an assist.

2.Freshman Caitlyn Miller (Lee, NH) Softball. During the team’s trip to Florida last week,Miller went 2-0 while earning one save in four appearances and is tied for second in the LEC with four victories overall.

3.Junior Sam Sullivan (Canton, MA) Women’s Lacrosse: Sullivan registered three goals in last week’s loss to Oneonta state to bring her season total to seven goals in two games.

4.Senior Adam Haversat (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) Men’s lacrosse: The reigning Defensive player of the week caused four turn-overs during the 10-6 victory over Castleton during the break while recording 11 ground balls to bring his season total to 29. Haversat also sits third in the LEC with 12 caused turnovers.
