Have you ever been in that mood where you just have to watch shows from your childhood? Yet, when you go online to look for that certain classic, you see that Netflix or Hulu does not have them. Or worse, when you stoop down to looking for them on YouTube. Only to be bombarded with YouTube asking you for money. But you so badly want to watch something and you resort to find a website that will allow you to illegally watch it. Which comes with bad quality, unwanted ads and occasionally a virus. It seems that finding your favorite movies and shows becomes an inconvenience as if the internet never wants you to watch them ever again.
This has been a problem for a while now, and yet, no solutions have been created. We all need a platform that will allow us to watch all the old 90’s shows that bring us closer to our childhood. There are rumors spreading that Disney has announced their intention to create a website to stream their Disney shows, but who knows if they will even be including the old shows that we 90’s kids are really interested in watching.
Upon asking Sara Worley a student here at Plymouth State about a streaming service for 90’s shows, she said, “If I had to pay to watch all the 90s shows that I grew up watching, I would definitely do it. The shows you grew up on are a part of you and if I had the opportunity to be able to re-watch them I would.” But as broke college students, who knows if they would be willing to spend that kind of money. Kristina Mehegan another student here at Plymouth State said, “I wish Netflix had access to all the old Disney shows and movies. It would just be so much easier.”
So, Netflix, get your crap together! The 90’s kids have spoken.
