Self-Care Fair
Self-Care Fair
On December 11th, SAVE All, Sexual Assault and Violence Education alliance, will be hosting the Self Care Fair. It will be a day full of events, all taking place in the Hartman Union Building. Paige Schoppmann, President of SAVE All, is excited for the positive effect the event will surely have on PSU students. “We have the Self Care Fair to learn to practice self-care more effectively in a safe and understanding place”, she said. This event is an opportunity for students to feel better about themselves. It will be engaging, fun, and mentally beneficial.
From 1-4pm, there will be therapy dogs in HUB room 123, self-care packages and coloring in the Fireplace Lounge, Cartoon Network and gifts in HUB room 109, and yoga in the Hage room. Those who enjoy friendly dogs, coloring, cartoons, and yoga should stop by the HUB in between classes to take part in the fun activities.
They will be playing the movie Elf later on, at 7pm in the Hage room.
From 6-8pm, there will be disco in HUB room 123, and tie-dye in the Fireplace Lounge. Students will have to bring their own t-shirts to tie-dye. Students who attend both of those events are sure to leave feeling groovy.
There will be more yoga at 8pm in HUB room 109. Yoga is a great coping mechanism for stress relief, flexibility and fitness. Stop by at either time on this day to enjoy its benefits.
SAVE All has been very productive this semester. “We’ve really picked up steam, and we have many new members that are passionate and excited about being a part of this”, Paige said, “I’m incredibly proud of all of the members; they all bring something different to the table and they’re all so important in the success of this organization.” SAVE All was able to form this day of events because of the recent members that have dedicated time and effort.
SAVE All has a lot to look forward to, including another Week of Action next semester. The organization is thriving, and will likely grow even more. Paige always welcomes aspiring new members, and will be happy to speak with anyone that is interested in joining.
SAVE All meets every Wednesday in Hyde 234 from 8-9 p.m. Anyone who is interested in joining the organization is encouraged to drop by during that time, or email Paige at pmschoppmann1010@plymouth.edu.
