A Beast of a Game: “Monster Hunter World”
The name of the game speaks for itself; “Monster Hunter World” is a huge game with a variety of wildlife and areas to explore. You are a part of a special hunting squad, sent in from the old world to the new. In the beginning, you create a character and a Palico. The Palico is almost like a pet, and resembles a cat, but is way larger than your typical household feline. Your Palico can also be customized and named to your choosing.
This game is a very large and advanced fighting game. You go on mini-excursions to track, explore, craft and hunt various monsters. The battles can range from thirty minutes to a full hour. Before all this, you must select weaponry to wield during these vicious battles. The weapons range from a longsword, great sword, bow, bow-gun, hammer, gun lance and many more. Once equipped, you can set foot onto the different areas of the map. For instance, in the beginning you find the Ancient Forest. This area is home for many different creatures and wildlife. Some beasts are bigger than others, and each tends to be deadlier than the last.
I This game is enormous and has so much content already put into it. Each time you slay or capture a beast, you get rewards and parts for armor and weapons. Using the materials gathered, you can create bigger and stronger supplies for your character. The customization is beautiful in this game, with the many mix-match armor sets you can put together, and the color pallets you can play with.
There are no abilities to level up, no powers or experience system, for you at least. There is a rank system for the hunters, and there is a rarity system for the rewards. After a fight or just from exploring, make sure you frequently eat so your health and stamina doesn’t plummet or decrease. Keeping supplies and sharpening your equipment is key during battles, or else you will get squashed like a bug.
Grab a copy of “Monster Hunter World” today. Come slash, sing and slay these beasts and show off the new gear to your jealous friends!
