Spring Break Trips That Won’t Break Your Bank
Spring Break, the week that every college student looks forward too. Where everyone who can afford it, goes somewhere warm or filled with fun and adventure. Equaling seven days of pure bliss. However, most students will be stuck up here in the snow-covered mountains of New Hampshire or just retreat home, to sit on a couch with their parents. But just because the funds don’t read above $12,000 does not mean those students can not have a wonderful break of their own as well. There are actually quite a lot of spring trips out there that won’t run anyone dry.
Now the majority of students find themselves wanting to leave the country for Spring break. Which correlates into being the most expensive but there are deals all around for said trips. To reduce the costs of these mini-vacations, it is better to look for group deals because those are the ones that come out a little cheaper. So try to plan a Spring break with some good friends and pool what your financials together. One place that has been recently reported as a cheaper option for Spring break is Puerto Vallarta, which is a resort town in Mexico on the Pacific coast. It has beautiful beaches and a great nightlife scene. But its also in the top five cheapest destinations for break this year. A round-trip for this place is under $350 and there are hotel deals that cost under $200 dollars a night. If bundled with friends the hotel stay would be way cheaper if split among everyone.
Another out of the country cheap destination would be Cabo San Lucas, which is also located in Mexico. And is known for its stunning beaches and excelling nightlife too. This place is still ranked top five of cheapest destinations according to U.S Travel. But ultimately, it is a little pricier than Puerto Vallarta. But then again, when looking for deals and grouping up with friends it really should not be a bad way to spend one’s money.
There are other options as well for break that are right here in our own country. New Orleans in Louisiana city has been known for its fun experience and great comfort food. It also is fairly cheap to stay down there especially in March. Where the hotels' prices range under $150 dollars. The airfare might be more expensive. But the lodging and food down there will make up for it. Another place that is a little more Spring break like is Hawaii. Known for its breathtaking views and wonderful scenery. And of course, its great beaches. Hawaii, when booked in bundle deals, comes out to be very cheap. And no passport is required which relieves some stress and the hassle of traveling out of the country.
All of these are not the only options out there, they are just some. But they key for everyone who is still wanting to go on an amazing Spring break, is, to look for deals. Do not just book a destination because it looks cool or that others are doing it. Book it off what they are offering. Especially flights, because more often than not the flight will be the most expensive item on your trip checklist. To have a successful spring break, watch your budget, book with friends, and find the right deals. If followed, then maybe those of you who did not have any plans originally will have some in the next couple of days for Spring break. Without the guilt of breaking the bank.
