While students were all on spring break, PSU Baseball went to Fort Myers, Florida to compete in the Gene Cusic Classic, and Snowbird Classic. Overall the team went 7-3 beating; Plattsburgh State (6-0), Lasell (7-3), Augustana (4-3), and both NYU- Poly (9-2), (3-1), and Nichols (15-4), (9-8) twice. Plattsburgh State, Lasell and Augustana beat PSU in close-fought games.

Senior Brandon Cox (Nashua, NH) led all hitters with 16 hits and 9 RBI. While junior Paul Reny (South Portland, ME) wasn't far behind with 15 hits and 7 RBI. Senior Captain Tucker Regan (Niantic, CT) showed his talent leading all pitchers with 17.2 innings pitched with a 1.53 ERA allowing only 4 runs in 3 games. Regan went 2-0 in Florida, with a 7 inning, two-hit shutout of Plattsburgh State, which earned him LEC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

PSU plans to start the regular season off Saturday at UMass Dartmouth, but the game may be postponed due to field conditions.
