Top 100 Albums of 2011

 

Hello there! Hopefully you were brought here by the physical newspaper, but if not, welcome anyway. Here are the top 100 albums I spent the most time with this year. I love making my end of the year list more than anything, and this year it was absolute hell because of the amount of great material that came out in 2011 (I purchased over 170 CD's that came out this year, and I was mailed a lot more). Remember that this is MY list and that taste is subjective. I am not saying one thing is better than another, only that this is what I personally enjoyed the most. I recommend you check out any of these albums that interest you, and if you like them you should buy them. With money. Looking Forward to 2012

Now, I'm not hating on 2011, but I just can't wait for this year to be over. It's already December, and the new year is looking fresh beyond the horizon. Despite the fact that 2012 holds our "supposed" doom and the end of the world (please be zombies, PLEASE BE ZOMBIES), there are a few things that I am looking forward to. Dance the Night Away

On Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3, PSU hosted the Contemporary Dance Ensemble Fall 2011 Concert in Hanaway Theater at the Silver Center.  The show consisted of nine choreographed dances by students and faculty, collaboration with the Dance Lighting class, a slideshow of quotes from student performers between each number, and direction by Amanda Whitworth.
