Games To Look For in 2015
2015 is looking like it’s going to be full of new, exciting game releases across all genres and platforms. While some, like Evolve and Dying Light are already available here are five more to get excited over for the remaining 10 months of 2015.
5) Battlefield: Hardline
Hardline is the latest installment in the Battlefield franchise, and strays from the usual large-scale war style of the last couple installments and goes for more of a cops-n-robbers aesthetic. New equipment like tazers and grappling hooks look to add a fresh twist on a genre that has started to get a bit stale after four games and multiple spin-offs.
4) Mortal Kombat X
The Mortal Kombat came back with a bang with the 2011 reboot, and Mortal Kombat X looks to continue the series renaissance with a promising graphical enhancement, new characters, and multiple ways to play each character. It’s sure to be just as re-playable and addicting as every other entry in the series.
3) Halo 5: Guardians
After the major success of the Halo 5 beta, developer 343 Studios is hard at work changing and adding new features to the game. Continuing the saga right after Halo 4 left off, the mysterious Spartan Locke looks to add a new perspective to the story, and new abilities previously unavailable to Master chief as a Spartan II.
2) Dead Island 2
After disappointing us with Dead Island: Riptide and Escape Dead Island, Dead Island 2 looks to improve upon everything previous entries in the series have done wrong. Looking to add a smoother online connection, better weapon variation, and more ways to kill zombies, it should be a blast and provide more zombie killing fun once you’ve finished Dying Light.
1) Star Wars Battlefront III
This entry needs no explanation. It’s the next entry in the Battlefront series, the beloved Call of Duty-type shooter based in the Star Wars universe. Fans have been waiting for the third installment for what feels like centuries, and it’s (hopefully) finally coming this holiday season, accompanying the new movie.
