Took Mathematics and Humanities with Larry Blaine as my professor. I took him half the semester to even create a moodle page. Did not enter a single graded online. He does not care what so ever if you fail or pass. He does not care if you show up or not and he does not always show up. Very forgetful, misplaces assignments you gave him and he gives you a zero if you do talk to him. Received graded assignments from the first week of the semester the week before finals. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS
Doesn't care if you fail or not, no matter how many times you ask for help.
He's very monotone, but if you don't care about math and just want an simple class, his class works, at least for Finite Math. He doesn't care about attendance and don't have many rules. He's dull as hell, but it's an simple class.
He was a bad teacher. Very intelligent in the book intelligent sense but he IS NOT a people person and difficult to deal with one on one if you need help. Its difficult for him to explain things well because to him everthing is "impartially obvious"
I took multivariable calculus with Dr. Blaine as a requirement for my major. We did not use a textbook and I can honestly say I did not learn a thing in his class ALL SEMESTER that I couldn't have learned on the Wikipedia page for Multivariable Calculus. intelligent guy, but I highly recommend finding a different prof. if u want to learn the material |
